my role as a
Graphic & Prepress designer
at nite-brite sign co.

In the role of Graphic & Prepress Designer within the large format digital print process, I receive job assignments from the project manager and meticulously review art files, measurements, templates, and brand identity guidelines.  Following this initial assessment, I create layout designs, make necessary image edits to the artwork, and provide digital proofs for client approval.  Revisions are made as needed until final approval is obtained.

Upon receiving approval, I enter the job into the company database, generate production orders, and proceed with printing preparation.  This includes printing color proofs to ensure accuracy and making adjustments if required before sending press proofs to clients for their final approval.

After final approval is granted, I prepare files for printing by adding bleed, overlaps, crop marks, and creating print panels using software such as Photoshop and Illustrator.  The print files are processed through CalderaRIP software with provided profiles before being sent to the printer for production.  Additionally, cut files for printed or vinyl overlays are created along with installation layouts for installers to follow.

Finally, all necessary paperwork is delivered to the project manager upon completion of these tasks in order to maintain smooth communication throughout the digital print process.
